Moab/Climbing for the Stephenson reunion, and shooting on the 4th of July!

Silly Uncle Ben and Devanie pose on the rock just out side one of the town homes in Moab
The Stephenson kids and spouses and grand kids! Also just out side the town home we stayed at in Moab, we had so much fun, I didn't get any other pictures! LOL

My first climbing experience, Kelli is explaining to me how to properly tie a knot and about climbing safety.
Time to put on the most uncomfortable shoes ever, they force your toes together and bow them so that you can easily wedge your toes into teeny tiny ledges on the rock. They my be crazy uncomfortable, but they DO work!
Now that I know where my chalk bag is, I'm ready to start!
Did I mention that it was 102 degrees that day? Oh and that meant that the rock was at a boiling temperature?
It took some time but I started to get the hang of it, I found a way to hoist myself up and get to the first anchor.
This is where I realize that I have blisters on my hands from the heat of the rock, we decided it might be a better idea to try this another day. :(
But I still look good in a harness and will do it again soon! :D
That's our rental car behind me.

4th of July shooting trip with the Stephenson side!Isn't that a beautiful sight?
And isn't THAT a beautiful sight? ; ) That's my handsome man!
Uncle Ben loading his ammo.More ammo loading

Oh yea, we're going to show that Huggies box who's bossThere were TONS of grasshoppers, it was almost like the ground was moving every time you took a step, grasshoppers hopped away in every direction.
Here I am shooting the 9mm- in this first picture I forgot to put my ear plugs on, first shot of the day.

Ben was taking these pictures of me, he got the bullet in the air on this shot, you can see me squinting, it bounced off me and fell to the ground, that was entertaining

then the camera ran out of batteries before I could get any pictures of Dan and I shooting the 12 gauge or anyone shooting Ben's new gun! Next time, I'll make sure my camera is charged!
That's it from now, stay tuned for another update when we get back from Bear Lake this weekend! Woo hoo!

Wheeler Farm

Hello friends and family, I decided to jump on the band-wagon of a blog! You will notice that my title is "Life with the M.A.D. Stephensons" that doesn't mean we're mad, that stands for Maria and Dan :) I could have done Dan and Maria but I thought "MAD" would be better then "DAM" ;) - Anyways...I decided to start this blog because I wanted to post some pictures from Wheeler Farm for my family to see. It was June and Madison, Ryan and Jilene with their kids, and Uncle Jared! Oh yes, and Dan and I.
Ryan and the three little girls looking at the ducks "quack, quack"

Daddy Ryan and his girls!
Maddie in her blue coat! it was pretty cold that day - but still sunny!! - I love Utah sun!
She's pointing at her favorite duck, "the white one, oveah theah"
Tristen is pointing out her favorite duck too! "umm...dat one"

Tristen loved the geese!
Bring it on! She's fearless.
The two little Wagasians riding the horse's saddle :)

Studly uncle Jared!

The Perry's met up with us at Cracker Barrel! What's a Wagner gathering without Cracker Barrel?

In case you can't tell, that's Madison reading the menu...

We all headed over to Southtown mall to hit up the Marry-Go-Round

Tristen was pooped - we really had to work to wake her up so she could ride the Marry-Go-Round. But, once she opened her eyes, she was sure happy to be there!

Ethan had a blast too! He took a little coaxing to get on the dear instead of the bench, a little fear and a little fun!

ooh - We're cruzin daddy!
