What's new with us!

Well the newest thing in our lives is...WE BOUGHT A HOME!!! :)

I'm quite happy with it, in fact I couldn't have asked for better one for our first home! We move in this weekend (I'll do my best to post more pictures shortly after we move in, so you can see the rest of it {wink}) It has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a formal living room, a family room, an unfinished basement (room to grow!), and kitchen and dinning room, it's also on a .25 acre lot! I'm really excited about the big back yard, I remember having a big back yard when I was a kid and nothing can beat having a safe place to play! It is located in Lehi, we've already met one set of neighbors who say the ward is great, they've lived in their home for 18 years and said they don't want to move because they don't want to leave the ward.

What else is new - I now feel my massage business is a success! :) I have a few regular corporate clients (that's where I go in and do on-site massage in an office building) and some clients that come and see me at my office. I work part time, and love it!

Dan is still with MVi and is enjoying it there, they treat him well, we really couldn't ask for a better more stable employer, I really feel like the men in charge there do a good job keeping the business running well, especially during this down turn in the economy they manage to stay in the black and still have new hires and what not. What a blessing they have been for us!

This last year and a half we have enjoyed camping trips with friends and family, and visiting my sister June in Nevada, and of course my parents in Washington, we're lucky enough to have all of Dan's immediate family near by and get together at least twice a month for a family dinner. And of course my one sister Cindy who lives here in Utah, we're the Utah girls of our family :) We love making these wonderful memories with family and are so grateful to have them close to us.
For pioneer day we hiked up Ensign Peak with Dan's Sister, her kids, and Dan's mom! It was a fairly easy hike and a beautiful view, and fun memories were made with each other :D

Last but definitely not least, we have been working on getting an addition to our family, we are hoping and praying that Heavenly Father has a little one planned for us. We've been trying for a year now and would welcome any prayers you have to offer on our behalf. Especially now that we have a house, I feel like we have a good place to raise our children. God has blessed us in so many ways, especially our relationship, there are so many times a day I am thankful for my wonderful husband, we truly are best friends! We were also blessed with finding such a great deal on a house and with Dan's good career, we can now afford for me to stay home with our little one when s/he comes :)

When ever I think of our desire to have a child, this song always gets stuck in my head, it's a primary song: My Life is A Gift
It talks about how our life is a gift, and it has a plan, and how we will follow God's plan for us.
I am grateful for our lives, and I will follow God's plan, where ever it leads us.

Maria (and Dan)
